Taylor came into our Calgary shop with a vision: A very old-world love story meets a modern bride. Something show-stopping, dainty, vintage, and 100% her.
THE VALENTINE
In comes the Valentine gown by Rue de Seine. Crafted entirely from 100% raw silk, Valentine brings together the romance of 19th-century corsetry with the effortless movement of a bohemian tiered skirt. The result? A gown filled with character, nostalgia, and romance all in one.
There’s something about Valentine that feels like it belongs in another era. The raw texture of the silk, vintage-inspired corsetry, and intentional details give the gown a distinctly nostalgic feeling, while the dramatic silhouette keeps it cool-girl. It’s feminine without being overly sweet, structured without feeling stiff, and effortlessly romantic.
TAYLOR AND HER VISION
Taylor knew exactly how she wanted to feel—and Valentine understood the assignment. From the very first time she tried it on, the gown felt like an extension of her. Every detail worked together perfectly without ever feeling overdone, from the delicate lace neckline to the playful bow straps and, of course, that unforgettable train. It was romantic, a little playful, and completely her. Some gowns need a lot of styling to make a statement, but Valentine? She truly speaks for herself.
But Taylor knew the magic was in the details. Her accessories and intentional styling choices elevated the entire look to another level. Paired with our Sara Gabriel Aditi mantilla veil and delicate lace finger gloves, everything came together effortlessly. Not too much—but just enough. The lace trim was given its moment to shine, while every accessory added another little layer of personality to her look.
And then there were the shoes. Chic bow ballet flats paired with the sweetest girly lace sockettes? A match made in bridal heaven. Every detail felt thoughtful, feminine, and unmistakably Taylor.
And, of course, the real showstopper: her hair.
This braided masterpiece was straight out of a fairytale. Romantic, intricate, and impossibly pretty, it added the perfect finishing touch to an already unforgettable bridal look. The soft, woven braids complemented the whimsical-inspired romance of the gown while still feeling fresh and playful—like a modern-day princess who just happens to have really good taste.
